Not Just On The Fridge
Terms of Service
Last updated: June 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Not Just On The Fridge (also called “Fridge”), a shared family calendar offered as a web app and mobile app. The service is provided by Ryan Arment (individual). By creating an account or using the service you accept these Terms.
1. The service
Fridge is a calendar that lets the members of a household share events, reminders, notes, and attachments. New features may arrive, change shape, or be removed. The service is offered free of charge.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential. Anything done from your signed-in session is your responsibility.
- If you invite other household members, you confirm you have the right to share information about them on the platform (display name, color, etc.).
- Kid profiles do not have their own sign-in — an adult household member manages them on the child’s behalf.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything illegal or to harm others.
- Upload content you don’t have the right to upload, including copyrighted material you don’t own.
- Try to break, probe, or interfere with the service, other users’ accounts, or the underlying infrastructure.
- Scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit content that doesn’t belong to you.
- Use the service to send unsolicited messages or notifications to people who haven’t consented.
4. Your content
Events, notes, attachments, and other content you put into Fridge remain yours. You grant the service a limited license to store, process, and display that content so it can show up for the household members you choose to share it with. We don’t claim ownership of your content and we don’t use it for marketing or to train external machine learning models. The exception is the optional “Smart Add” feature, which sends content you submit to Anthropic for parsing only; Anthropic does not retain or train on that content per its commercial terms.
5. Notifications
If you opt into push or SMS reminders, you authorize the service to send them to your registered devices and phone number. Standard message and data rates may apply for SMS. You can turn off notifications at any time from Settings, or revoke them at the operating system level.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access to the service if you’re violating these Terms, if the service is being shut down, or if continued operation would put us at legal risk. We will give reasonable notice when feasible.
7. Disclaimers
Fridge is provided as-is and without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, freedom from bugs, the accuracy of weather data, the timeliness of reminders, or that the service will meet your specific needs. Reminders rely on third-party push delivery infrastructure that we don’t control.
Do not rely on Fridge as your sole source of safety-critical reminders (medication, life-safety events, etc.). Use a dedicated tool with delivery guarantees for those.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to Fridge is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, since the service is free, is zero). Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Privacy
Use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how it’s used.
10. Changes
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes. If the change is material we’ll notify you in the app. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms; if you don’t, you can delete your account.
